SIVANANDA SATSANG – Meditation and Kirtan

Sunday, February 5th (and the first Sunday of every month)

Guided meditation, uplifting call-and-response Sanskrit chants (kirtan), an inspiring reading, purifying light ceremony and then something sweet to eat with tea afterwards. Experience the traditional, heart-opening yogic path of devotion, in the Sivananda tradition. Everyone is welcome – just bring your open voice and good energy!

FINDING OUR WAY BACK HOME – An Evening of Kirtan and Meditation with Anand Nigam

When one has the longing to return home what more is there to do than chant, sing, meditate and investigate our very existence. With the help of ancient and modern mantras we will turn our gaze inward, away from our projections and ideas of life and hopefully fall from our heads into our hearts. Aware of our presence we will sing and celebrate together our love and gratitude. Come,come and join us !

A course developed by Swami Atma to learn the basics of Sanskrit quickly and with a lot of fun. Progress to a perfect pronunciation of the mantras and learn to read the mantras from the Devanagari (Sanskrit alphabet), which is a beautiful and intense practice.

Saturday & Sunday, March 17th and 18th:
9.00 – 17.00, Sanskrit intensive, as well as some meditation, kirtan and asana.

“An asana is a posture which acts on a specific pressure area, thereby releasing the built-up prana, energy, or vital force. In your physical body, the flow of energy takes place through your nerves; in the astral body, the flow of prana or life energy takes place in the nadis, or meridians. Many people think that you get your energy from eating proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins and minerals, but prana is the real force by which all living beings exist.
Sometimes blockages develop in the nadis so that the prana accumulates and does not flow; in other areas there may be insufficient prana. Yogic exercises release this energy by applying pressure through placing the body in various positions, or asanas.”
